Optivalux connects a physical product to a certificate, an owner and a history. Each part can be checked on its own, so a problem in one never gets mistaken for a problem in another.

This page describes the designed Optivalux architecture. Production V2 (the production implementation) is in development; physical pilot: preparing.

The product record

Ownership, certificate and authentication are separate facts.

Every Optivalux product shows three independent statuses. An authenticator service being offline does not make a certificate invalid; a suspended certificate does not change who owns the product.

Example: Owned, Active, Authentication unavailable is a normal, legitimate state. The owner still holds the product and the certificate is in good standing; only verification is temporarily offline.

Building blocks

What makes up Optivalux

  • Secure authenticator

    A small secure element placed in the product by the brand. It answers signed challenges; it does not store the owner’s identity.

  • Product certificate

    Issued by the brand for one specific product, with a standing the brand can suspend, reinstate or void.

  • Owner account

    Holds the certificates of products you own. No crypto vocabulary, no recovery phrases to manage in normal use.

  • Provenance

    Registration, claims, verifications and transfers form a timeline that stays with the product.

  • Transfer

    Owner authorizes, recipient accepts, the recipient verifies the product in hand. Then ownership moves.

  • Recovery & Protection Mode

    Controlled ways to restore access or protect a certificate when infrastructure fails. Ownership never changes.

Certificates and ownership are recorded on blockchain infrastructure so that a product’s record does not depend on one company’s database remaining online. People using Optivalux see products, evidence and history, never tokens, fees or contract details.
