Know what you own. Keep its story.

Optivalux lets you check a product, hold its certificate and keep its history, and pass all of it on when the product changes hands.

This page describes the designed Optivalux architecture. Production V2 (the production implementation) is in development; physical pilot: preparing.

  1. 01

    Verify what you own.

    Hold your phone near the Optivalux mark on the product. You’ll see what was checked, when, and whether it matches the identity the brand registered.

  2. 02

    Receive its certificate.

    Claim the product after checking it. Its certificate and history are then kept with your account.

  3. 03

    Keep the product’s provenance.

    Where it was made, when it was registered, who owned it before (without personal details) and when it was last checked.

  4. 04

    Transfer ownership when the item changes hands.

    You start the transfer, the new owner accepts, and they check the product in their hands. Only then does ownership move.

  5. 05

    Recover access without changing ownership.

    If the product’s authenticator is lost or damaged, access can be restored through the brand or your own Recovery Authenticator. Recovery never moves your product to someone else.

Reading the status

Three things, shown separately.

You’ll always see who owns the product, whether its certificate is in good standing, and whether it can be verified right now. If verification is temporarily unavailable, your ownership and certificate are unaffected.
